Digital friction here is rarely about a missing website. It shows up inside young, fast-growing organisations that have outgrown their first tools. A spin-out with twenty scientists tracks samples in spreadsheets, reports to investors from slide decks rebuilt every quarter and juggles grant conditions from several funders. College offices run conferences, alumni relations and room bookings across separate systems. Professional firms serving the cluster, from IP specialists to recruiters, need client portals that meet demanding confidentiality expectations. Everyone competes for the same scarce technical staff, so time wasted on admin is felt sharply.
We work from Wellingborough, roughly an hour west of Cambridge along the A14. Most work is done remotely in short cycles, with reviews on video and a live test environment. We come to Cambridge for discovery sessions, lab or office walk-throughs and launches, and we're comfortable working alongside in-house engineers who already know their stack. We're a small studio, not a local agency, and we say so.
