The four towns we cover make an interesting set. Leicester is dense and entrepreneurial, with many family-owned manufacturers, wholesalers, food businesses and professional firms, often trading internationally. Loughborough combines research, spin-outs, sports science and engineering. Hinckley has a knitwear history, Triumph Motorcycles, the MIRA technology park just over the A5 and a large logistics presence. Melton Mowbray is a market town known for food, with the pork pie and Stilton trades, a livestock market and pet-food manufacturing nearby. In practice that means wholesale and stock systems in Leicester, research and data tools in Loughborough, and operational software along the motorway belt.
Leicestershire is close to our base. Leicester is roughly an hour from Wellingborough via the A6 through Market Harborough or by the A14 and M1, and Hinckley and Loughborough are similar trips. Melton Mowbray is a pleasant cross-country run. That means we can meet in person at the start, walk the factory or warehouse, and come back for testing and training. Between visits, the build runs remotely through regular calls and shared previews. For many Leicester businesses, being able to sit down together is a real advantage.
