Each of the five places we cover has its own emphasis. Southampton is maritime logistics, cruise, education and a growing tech and geospatial scene. Portsmouth is defence, marine services and tourism, packed onto a dense island city. Basingstoke is offices and mid-sized firms in telecoms, IT, finance and distribution. Winchester is professional services, public administration and independent retail. Fareham is aerospace, marine engineering and suppliers. For us that translates into very different briefs: operational systems for port and marine operators, controlled documentation for defence supply chains, integration work for Basingstoke offices and customer-facing websites for Winchester's firms and venues.
Hampshire is a long way from Wellingborough, roughly two and a half hours via the M40 and A34 or round the M25 and M3, and we will not pretend otherwise. Projects here are delivered remotely, with weekly calls, a shared project board and staging environments you can test as work progresses. We travel down for discovery at the start, and for training or launch at the end, planning visits so they cover as much ground as possible. Many south-coast organisations already work this way with suppliers across the country.
