Friction in Lowestoft is often about coordination at a distance. Offshore work depends on weather windows, technician certifications and vessel availability, and small supply chain firms must prove their competence to large developers through detailed documentation. Tourism operators juggle a short, intense season with patchy shoulder months. Many established marine and engineering companies grew around fishing and gas work and now run on systems designed for a different industry. Being at the far end of the rail line and the A12 makes remote collaboration a normal part of business here.
We will be straightforward: Lowestoft is a long drive from our base in Wellingborough, close to three hours across the A14 and down through Suffolk. Projects here are run remotely, with video workshops, shared test environments and clear written updates. We come out in person for discovery, for any sessions that need to happen on a quayside or in a workshop, and for launch. We do not have a local office.
