Organisations here are often small and principled, and their systems reflect that. A maker selling at the Saturday farmers' market and online may be managing orders from three channels by hand. Community energy groups, co-operatives and charities track members, shares and grants in spreadsheets built by volunteers who have since moved on. Engineering firms in Stonehouse and Nailsworth carry the same quality and scheduling pressures as larger manufacturers without the IT staff. Across all of them, there is growing pressure to evidence environmental claims with real data rather than good intentions.
Versatech is a Wellingborough studio, and Stroud is a little over two hours away by road. We work with valley organisations remotely for most of each project and come down for kick-off workshops, a walk round the premises and launch. Budgets here are often tight and scrutinised, so we propose phased work that delivers something useful early rather than one large build.
