The friction here tends to be about coordination. Distribution firms working along the A1 handle tight delivery windows, driver hours and customer booking systems with thin staffing. Food producers balance short shelf lives with retailer demands and shift-based crews. Engineering firms carry decades of know-how in paper files and the heads of long-serving staff who are approaching retirement. Meanwhile, a growing commuter population on the new estates expects local service firms, from trades to childcare, to handle bookings and payments online as smoothly as the national brands they use every day.
Grantham is about an hour from our base in Wellingborough, straight up the A1, which makes it one of the easier Lincolnshire towns for us to visit. We still deliver most of the build remotely, with regular demonstrations and a shared progress board, but we are happy to come over more often than we would for a distant client, particularly for workshop sessions, testing on your site and support in the first weeks after launch.
